Do you take the bible literally?

How can you try and solve this with logic, if it doesn't apply, the story goes the animals came to Noah (nobody will be able to explain that, except maybe God). So how can you expect to understand the trip and what kind of help(divine intervention if you will) that Noah could have gotten?
