I'm going to start ROTC this year. I am a freshman in high school, im worried about the reactions i'll get!?

im a girl also, and i'm just nervous if i'll be made fun of. i'm going to be new at this school, having moved from phoenix, AZ to reno, NV. anyone have any advice?
