Similarities between autobiographies and biographies????

Oh! I had this experience! Two years ago I read a book by Anita Pallenberg. (Who she? Goggle). Oh, says I, I have this deja vu. Now, as it turns out, there have been so many books written about the Rolling Stones that the contents are indistinguishable from biography to autobiography.
