Why are Republicans suddenly worried about the deficit?

They didn't seem to mind when Bush originally let it get out of control, so why is it all of a sudden such a big deal? Not trying to be partisan on this, I didn't vote for Obama (Libertarians get my vote), but I find it rather amusing that the so called conservatives are only bleating about this now.
